Nominees for high school spring sports athlete of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending March 22. Voting will conclude at 8 p.m. Thursday with results published in Friday’s Columbian.

AKARI BABA, PRAIRIE TENNIS: Baba defeated Union’s Jelena Vidovic 6-1, 6-2 to win the Flight 1 singles championship of the Thunder Invitational.

HARLI HUBBARD, CAMAS SOFTBALL: Hubbard threw a five-inning no-hitter with 10 strikeouts against Washougal, and went 3 for 7 with three runs and two RBI over two games last week.

TREVOR HUDDLESTON, WOODLAND BASEBALL: Huddleston threw a six-inning perfect game, recording 14 of the 18 outs by strikeout. He also went 6 for 12 with a double, triple, home run, four runs and nine RBI over three games.

CARTER JOHNSON, SKYVIEW SOCCER: Johnson scored six goals and added two assists in three games for the Storm.

JENNAE LECOMTE, MOUNTAIN VIEW GOLF: Lecomte won medalist honors with a 45 in a match with Woodland and shared medalist honors with a 42 in a match with Camas.
