Prep girls soccer: Columbia River wins bi-district title on PKs

Columbia River claimed to Class 3A bi-district title, defeating Sumner in penalty kicks 4-1 after the two teams finished regulation and overtime tied at 1-all.

Ellie Walker scored River’s goal in regulation with an assist from Sarah Kleier.

The Chieftains will host a state playoff match next week, most likely Wednesday.

• Prairie, meanwhile, lost its bid to go to state, falling to Auburn-Mountainview 1-0.

• King’s Way Christian won the Class 1A district championship, shutting out Eatonville 3-0 in the finals. La Center, meanwhile, lost to Montesano 1-0 in the third-place match.
