Man, 25, arrested in death of woman, 82

EPHRATA — A 25-year-old man was arrested Tuesday for investigation of murder in the death of an 82-year-old woman in Ephrata.

Police Chief Mike Warren says the arrest of Chad G. Bennett was made possible through the work of the Washington State Patrol crime lab.

The website iFIBER One News reported Bennett has previous convictions in Grant County for theft and possessing stolen property.

Lucille Moore’s body was found Sept. 8 at her home with wounds to her neck and chest. She owned several rental homes in Ephrata.
