Langsdorf boat ramp closure extended

Langsdorf Landing boat ramp on the lower Columbia River at Caterpillar Island will remain closed through mid-November.

The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife has been working to replace the ramp and add a loading float since mid-October.

Although the new ramp has been installed, additional time is needed to drive the pilings for the loading float and pour asphalt on the parking lot, said Chris Spangler, agency access manager.

“The weather has been a factor, and we need to finish the work so the ramp can be re-opened for public use as soon as possible,” he said.
