Three things to watch this week

NO. 1: LISTEN IN — Every year people ask where they can listen to prep football in Clark County on the radio. Well, the answer is you can’t. But there are online broadcasts available. Ron Soanka and his team will be broadcasting games live from McKenzie Stadium this season on the Eli Sports Network. You can find the games at elisportsnetwork.com.

NO. 2: NEW LEAGUES, OLD RIVALRIES — A reshuffling of leagues in Southwest Washington this season will lead to some odd matchups once league play begins. But even the non-league games look odd. The Peace Pipe Game between Hudson’s Bay and Fort Vancouver is not only not in Week 9, it’s not a league game. Bay and Fort meet in a non-league clash in Week 1 tonight at Kiggins Bowl.

NO. 3: TOP-RANKED MATCHUPS — Want to see some matchups of ranked teams? How about at 4A we have No. 2 Chiawana at No. 5 Camas. Also, No. 6 Union at No. 4 Federal Way. There’s also Hockinson, No. 9 at 2A, hosting La Center, No. 4 at Class 1A. The rankings are by the Associated Press.
