PTA president running for Vancouver school board spot

Heather Lindberg, a volunteer with Vancouver Public Schools, has announced her candidacy for the school district’s board of directors Position 1. The position has been held by Dale Rice since 1990.

A volunteer with the Washington State Parent Teacher Association, Lindberg is the legislative chair for Southwest Washington, president of the Vancouver Council PTA and a PTA volunteer at her daughter’s school. As Vancouver Council PTA president, she is a director on the board of the Foundation for Vancouver Public Schools.

Lindberg tutors in a middle school math classroom, is a Lunch Buddy at the elementary school she attended as a child and is a classroom volunteer at her children’s schools.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and a master’s degree in teaching.
