Two Vancouver men arrested last year with large amounts of methamphetmine and heroin were sentenced to prison Monday, following an investigation where officers found cash, firearms and four pounds of methamphetamine in one storage locker.

A U.S. District Court judge in Tacoma sentenced Eugenio Meza-Orozco, 52, to 10 years in prison and Rogelio Ramirez-Herrera, 33, to seven years in prison.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Tacoma, law enforcement observed Meza-Orozco and Ramirez-Herrera — also known as Sexy and Rata, respectively — in March 2014 dealing drugs.

During a search, investigators with the FBI and Vancouver Police Department found a large amount of drugs, the office said, along with five firearms, $61,000 in cash and drug-packaging material.

At sentencing hearings, U.S. District Judge Benjamin H. Settle called meth a “poison” that “destroys lives and families.”
