A 19-year-old man was taken to the hospital after accidentally shooting himself in the leg while cleaning his gun Monday in Battle Ground.
Police officers and EMTs responded at about 3:35 p.m. to a report of a neighbor who had shot himself.
Battle Ground Police Department spokeswoman Bonnie Gilberti said the man was cleaning a weapon at 614 N.W. 13th Circle when it fired, and he was taken to a hospital.
The man’s name and his medical condition were not available.
