The Vancouver woman injured in a crash Tuesday north of Daybreak Park was listed in serious condition Wednesday.

Nadezhda Kovalenko, 57, was driving a Toyota Corolla east on Northeast 279th Street when she ran a stop sign at 82nd Avenue and struck a southbound Jeep, Clark County sheriff’s Sgt. Fred Neiman said.

Emergency personnel were called to the crash, reported just after 2:30 p.m., and firefighters with Clark County Fire & Rescue cut the top off of the vehicle to get Kovalenko out, Battalion Chief Tim Dawdy said.

The driver of the Jeep and her infant passenger were not injured, Neiman said.

No citations have been issued, Neiman said, but the investigation is ongoing.
