State troopers cited a Washougal man Thursday after he allegedly left the scene of a crash that injured another driver on state Highway 14 around 5:15 that morning.
Washington State Patrol said James W. Maahs, 19, of Washougal was driving west on Highway 14 in the left lane when he attempted to move into the right lane.
Maahs swerved back into the left lane to avoid a vehicle, then struck another vehicle driven by Jeffery A. Hawes, 42, of Vancouver.
The state patrol said Maahs drove away and was later apprehended.
