Mountain View — Christina Lundy, a senior at Mountain View High School, was honored at a recent Portland Trail Blazers game for being named a CarMax Team Captain.

The CarMax Teen Captain program was created to celebrate local youths who improve their communities through volunteerism. Lundy strives to give back to her community and set a good example for others in multiple ways.

She is the current Associated Student Body president at Mountain View and maintains a 4.0 GPA. Lundy is also president of Rachel’s Challenge Club, which is a program designed to spread kindness throughout schools and communities.

Lundy will continue her strive for excellence next year when she attends the Air Force Academy in Colorado.
