A 26-foot travel trailer in the backyard of a residence in east Vancouver was destroyed in a fire early Friday morning.

The fire was reported at 3:40 a.m. at 905 N.E. 192nd Ave., with firefighters arriving to a travel trailer fully involved in fire, Vancouver Fire Department Spokesman Joe Spatz said.

Firefighters quickly controlled the flames and stayed at the scene to conduct overhaul, Spatz said. The owner was out of the state on vacation at the time, Spatz said, and one was in the trailer at the time.

Crews from the Camas-Washougal Fire Department assisted at the scene. The fire is under investigation by the Clark County Fire Marshal’s Office.
