A pedestrian was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle in Salmon Creek on Monday night.

Clark County sheriff’s deputies responded to the crash, reported at about 10:20 p.m. in the 12000 block of Northeast Highway 99.

Deputies arrived to find a 28-year-old man seriously injured after having been struck in the southbound lanes of the highway, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

The man was taken to a hospital, and the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators, the sheriff’s office said.

No arrests have been made, but detectives with the agency’s traffic unit are investigating the contributing factors in the crash.
