Boys basketball: Prairie 78, Parkrose (Ore.) 53

The Falcons’ first-half offensive outburst led to a 26-point halftime lead on their way to cruising to the nonleague victory at home.

“We shot the ball really well,” Falcons coach Kyle Brooks said.

Of Prairie’s 10 made 3-pointers, eight came in the first half when Prairie (2-3) held a 46-20 lead after two quarters.

Dante Heitschmidt and Kam Osborn led Prairie with 21 and 20 points, respectively, and Braiden Broadbent added 13.

Matthew Kogler led Prairie with seven rebounds and Brooks noted the play of AJ Dixson off the bench with his seven points and a catalyst defensively.
