Gunfire struck several vehicles and apartment buildings in an apparent gunfight Tuesday night in a parking lot near Vancouver’s Bagley Downs neighborhood.

Vancouver Police Department spokeswoman Kim Kapp said officers responded to a report of gunshots around 11:55 p.m. in the area of Northeast 62nd Avenue and Northeast Fourth Plain Boulevard.

Multiple callers reported hearing 10 or more gunshots, Kapp said.

Officers checked the area and found multiple spent shell casings in a parking lot in the area, she said, and at least three cars and two apartment units struck by bullets. No injuries were reported.

Responding officers were unable to identify any suspects, Kapp said, but it appeared multiple parties were shooting at each other and fled before police arrived.

The department’s Safe Streets Task Force and Major Crime Unit were following up, Kapp said.
