Troopers ID pedestrian killed in I-5 crash as 20-year-old Ridgefield man

Washington State Patrol identified a pedestrian killed in a Thursday night crash on Interstate 5 near La Center as a 20-year-old man from Ridgefield.

A 22-year-old Vancouver man previously accused of voyeurism for allegedly taking an upskirt photo of a female customer while he was working at Fred Meyer was back in court Thursday, facing more than two dozen counts of the same charge.

Truck with pro-Trump stickers torched at Vancouver bar

Johnny MacKay was bored Sunday night while his wife was at work so he decided to visit Vancouver’s Garage Bar & Grille.

He arrived about 9 p.m., had a few drinks, shot pool and listened to a few guys play guitar. He left around 10:30 p.m., taking an Uber home. He drove his wife’s car to work Monday morning and swung by the bar, 1101 W. Fourth Plain Blvd., to check on his pickup before heading to Portland International Airport, where he works in maintenance.

Two killed, two injured in fiery Hockinson crash

Two people were killed Saturday night and two injured, one of them with life-threatening injuries, in a single-car crash in the Hockinson area, Clark County authorities said.

Triple-negative breast cancer ‘requires all the guns’

The term “breast cancer” is a big umbrella, with the outcome for individual patients ranging widely due to a vast spectrum of factors. And for patients with triple-negative breast cancer, one of the disease’s most serious and life-threatening forms, those factors can drastically change their treatment plan.

That was news to Jana Cox, 35, a Vancouver woman diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer in April. A product developer at Nike, Cox is an avid runner and traveler with no family history of cancer.

Coming to terms with the fact that she’d been diagnosed with such an aggressive and fast-moving cancer was a shock, she said.
