Defensive adjustments made all the difference for Ridgefield.

Hockinson hit three early 3s and took an 18-6 lead in the first quarter.

From there, it was all Ridgefield.

“We lost guys early, they were having their way with us,” Spudders coach Jason Buffum said. “We tightened it up, got some better rotations for us.”

Ridgefield held Hockinson to single digits in each of the final three quarters.

Offensively, the Spudders’ scoring was spread out.

Josh Mansur had 11 points and James Corey pitched in 10. Three other players had nine points for Ridgefield.

The Hawks, who still await the return of all-league selection Peyton Brammer from a broken foot, were led by 12 points from Sawyer Racanelli and 10 from Dakota Souders.
