Shumway — The Fort Vancouver Rose Society held its annual auction March 7 at Parish Hall at St. Luke’s-San Lucas Episcopal Church, its new meeting location. The auctioneer for the event was Sally Rossetto, past co-president of the society, who was assisted by Louis Rossetto, fellow past co-president, as well as David Pfaff, Detra and Jim Swenson, all current society members. Bidding led to more than $1,000 being raised in support of this year’s Fort Vancouver Rose Society Rose Show, which will take place June 15 at the First Evangelical Church, 4120 N.E. St. Johns Road, Vancouver. It’s free and open to the public.
