Nate Snook scored 22 points, Marc Miranda had 16 and Dylan Valdez 15 as the Chieftains completed a sweep of games at Longview after winning at Mark Morris on Monday.

“It was nice to get points out of him,” Columbia River coach David Long said of Miranda. “He can really score. He’s had a couple of games with nothing, so it was good to see him get on track.”

Long said another key for River was better defense in the second half. Leading 35-25 at the half, the Chieftains extended the lead with a 20-7 third quarter.

“We just defended better,” Long said. “They didn’t get wide-open looks.”
