Letter: Don’t reelect Herrera Beutler

By Corbin Muck, Vancouver

The republic cannot sustain the hypocrisy of Washington’s Republican representatives, and not a one of them deserves reelection.

This is particularly true of Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Battle Ground. She wants us to believe that there is a distinction between her and Donald Trump, but not one too wide as to discourage white supremacists and other anti-American fringe groups to vote for her. Herrera Beutler does not work for Washington state; she works to craft the slimmest cover of plausible deniability between her and a president she votes with in lock-step.

Herrera Beutler was elected to represent District 3, which she has categorically failed to do. She does not deserve your vote.
