Prep Roundup: Camas girls hand Bellarmine first loss of season, 88-66

Seton Catholic boys win Gladstone Holiday Tournament

Addison Harris scored 28 points as the Camas girls basketball team handed Bellarmine Prep its first loss of the season, 88-66, on Tuesday in Tacoma.

Reagan Jamison added 23 points for the Papermakers (4-3), who started fast and led 27-17 after the first quarter.

Camas put the game away in the third quarter, outscoring Bellarmine 25-15. Ava Smith had 10 of her 14 points in that quarter, which ended with the Papermakers ahead 73-44.

Girls basketball

SKYVIEW 58, WEST VALLEY-YAKIMA 42 — Rowyn Riley scored 16 points and the Storm broke open a close game in the third quarter.

Leading 18-16 at halftime, Skyview outscored the Rams 21-9 in the third. Jordan Labrador-Hallett had eight of her 15 points in that quarter.

Skylar Groesbeck had six assists, six rebounds and five steals for Skyview (4-1).

KENTWOOD 45, HUDSON’S BAY 44 — Aniyah Washington hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to deny the Eagles a road win against a Class 4A opponent.

Paytin Ballard scored 17 points to lead Hudson’s Bay (5-2). Aniyah Hampton added 12 points.

Hudson’s Bay led 44-39 in the final minute before Washington hit a 3-pointer to pull the Conquerors within striking distance.

WASHOUGAL 54, LA CENTER 27 — Jaiden Bea scored 18 points, Chloe Johnson added 12 points and the Panthers rolled to a road win.

Savea Mansfield added eight points and five steals for Washougal (6-2). Sammy Maderos had nine rebounds and Bea pulled down eight boards.

Kylee Stephens scored 13 points and Gianna D’Emilio added 10 points for La Center (4-5).

BONNEY LAKE 50, UNION 38 — Olivia Euverman scored nine points as the Titans dropped a non-league home game.

Union (3-4) shot 3 for 13 from the foul line.

Boys basketball

SETON CATHOLIC 50, GLADSTONE (Ore.) 46 — Jack Jenniges scored 12 points as the Cougars beat the host team to win the Gladstone Holiday Tournament.

Westy Westrick and Jacob George each added 10 points for Seton, which went 2-0 at the four-team event. The Cougars (6-2) opened with a 40-28 win over St. Helens (Ore.) on Monday.

RIDGEFIELD 84, CASTLE ROCK 40 — Nathan Semlick scored 24 points and made six of his team’s 15 3-pointers in a road win.

Colten Castro scored 21 points, with 12 of those coming behind the arc for Ridgefield (6-2). The Spudders blitzed to a 25-4 lead after one quarter, with Semlick and Zachary Warren combining for 17 of those points.

Trystin Marin scored 14 points to lead Castle Rock (6-2).
