VANCOUVER — Columbia Credit Union presented donations to three veterans groups, using funds generated from its Veterans Appreciation Loan promotion. A total of $17,100 was raised and split evenly between the Community Military Appreciation Committee, Home with Heroes, and the Returning Veterans Project. The loan promotion ran from Oct. 1 through Veterans Day, Nov. 11. Columbia Credit Union donated $100 for every qualifying loan taken out on a new or used car, truck, boat, motorcycle, RV, snowmobile or ATV. The promotion is in its sixth year. “During times like these, our community mission of making life better for our members and neighbors is more important than ever,” President and CEO Steve Kenny said in a news release. “The veterans in our community have selflessly served our country. Columbia Credit Union is honored to support them and their families through these vital local organizations.”
