BATTLE GROUND — Battle Ground HealthCare celebrated its new location at 1910 S.W. Ninth Ave. last week with “A Week of Gratitude: Celebrating Where We Have Been and Where We Are Going.” The social media campaign highlighted the beginnings of the clinic, the transition to the new location, a virtual ribbon-cutting, and a celebration of local community partners.

Since 2011, the free clinic has been providing services in the Center Point building in Meadow Glade. Since opening its new location about two months ago, the clinic has already seen a significant increase in new-patient appointments and service inquiries. “The need for free health and wellness services in Clark County right now is enormous and has only grown during the pandemic,” says Sue Neal, executive director.

There are currently 127 active volunteers who serve with the clinic, from licensed health care providers to front office staff to case managers and more. Since opening the clinic in 2011, volunteers have donated more than 65,000 hours of service.

Battle Ground HealthCare plans to continue expanding chronic care services, add acute care and offer influenza and COVID-19 vaccines. All services are free of charge and by appointment only.
