A Vancouver man was killed Thursday night in a single-vehicle crash on a freeway offramp in Salmon Creek, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The crash occurred at 9:23 p.m. on the ramp from northbound Interstate 205 to Northeast 134th Street in Salmon Creek, a State Patrol bulletin said.
Dennis V. Paola, 71, was driving north on the ramp when his 2012 Toyota Camry went off the roadway and struck a traffic signal pole at the southwest corner of the ramp’s intersection with Northeast 134th Street, the bulletin said.
Paola, who had been wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene, the bulletin said.
