Elijah Nelson of Prairie is the Week 7 Northwest Personal Training prep athlete of the week

Nelson beats out Evergreen's Claire Rogge

Prairie tennis player Elijah Nelson is the Northwest Personal Training Week 7 high school athlete of the week.

With a late rally, Nelson beat out Evergreen cross country runner Claire Rogge for the honor.

Nelson dropped just four games in winning three straight-set matches to capture the 3A singles district title.

Here are the other nominees:

BRANDEN CHOU, MOUNTAIN VIEW BOYS CROSS COUNTRY: Chou raced to a 32-second victory to win the 3A boys district title at 16:01 at Kelso High School.

DANE HUDDLESTON, WOODLAND BOYS GOLF: Huddleston shot a four-under-par 138 to win the 2A district title by seven shots at Riverside Golf Course in Chehalis.

CLAIRE ROGGE, EVERGREEN GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY: Rogge led from start to finish to win by 40 seconds to take the 3A girls district title in 18:59 at Kelso High School.

KEANNA SALAVEA, HERITAGE VOLLEYBALL: Salavea averaged 18 kills, 18 digs and five blocks in two league matches for the Timberwolves.
