Letter: Twists and tangles in Mill Plain Vine

I wish C-Tran would go back to being a public transportation company instead of a mass transportation one.

I have learned that the Mill Plain Vine system won’t travel down Mill Plain to Washington like it does now. It will turn on Fort Vancouver Way, then onto Washington to Seventh Street where the Fourth Plain Vine stop is. If the powers to be would look at the records, they would see that a lot of people use the Broadway and 15th Street stop if they are heading north or northeast. Then more riders get off at Washington and 13th streets if they are heading south. Lastly, they get off at Broadway and Evergreen Boulevard if they want to catch the bus going to Portland or down St. Johns Boulevard. Now I will have to take two buses if I want to go north or south on 164th and 192nd avenues, and take two buses when I get downtown, plus walk an extra two blocks.

I think C-Tran should keep the regular Mill Plain bus for us riders who like public transportation. Also, they should add an extra Fourth Plain bus for public transportation. These buses would make more stops but get the riders to where they need to go.
