The deadline to apply for a seat on the Clark County Historic Preservation Commission is fast approaching. The commission has two positions available, each for a three-year term that begins July 1. The application deadline is 5 p.m. April 29.

The commission reviews nominations to the National Register of Historic Places and Clark County Heritage Register, conducts design review for building changes, reviews and decides on applications for the special valuation tax incentive, and oversees education and outreach.

The commission meets at 6 p.m. the first Wednesday of each month. Due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, meetings are held virtually on WebEx.

To apply, submit a letter of interest and resume to Michelle Pfenning, County Manager’s Office, P.O. Box 5000, Vancouver, WA 98666-5000 or michelle.pfenning@clark.wa.gov.
