Skyview girls beat Kentridge to advance in 4A bi-district tournament

The Skyview girls basketball team smothered Kentridge with their defense Tuesday and the end result was a 58-45 road victory and another game in the 4A bi-district tournament.

Jordan Labrador-Hallett scored 16 points to go with six rebounds, six assists and three steals for the Storm (14-5).

Skylar Groesbeck added 12 points, seven rebounds and three assists, and Rowyn Riley had 11 points.

Skyview outscored Kentridge (12-9) in all four quarters.

“It was our defense,” Skyview coach Brett Johnson said. “They were flying around, talking on defense. … it wore (Kentridge) out.”

The Storm will play either Puyallup or Rogers of Puyallup on Thursday in another loser-out game.
