Join city officials as they share what the city of Vancouver is doing to address environmental justice through policy and infrastructure initiatives.

Councilors Diana Perez and Kim Harless will outline city-led actions during a virtual meeting from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday. The event is hosted by Southwest Washington’s Sunrise Movement chapter, a nonprofit that advocates for political action on climate change.

Presenters will touch on the city’s goal to reach carbon neutrality by 2040 and its proposed prohibition of new and expanded fossil fuel facilities in Vancouver.
