Skyview’s Maddie Milhorn is the Northwest Personal Training Week 22 prep athlete of the week

Storm softball player beats out Columbia River's Casey Struckmeier for honor

Skyview softball player Maddie Milhorn is the Northwest Personal Training Week 22 high school athlete of the week.

Milhorn beat out Columbia River baseball player Casey Struckmeier for the honor.

Milhorn gave up two earned runs in 17 innings pitched with 31 strikeouts and went 5 for 8 with homer and three RBI in three wins for the Storm.

  5. Ariel Ammentorp, Union 22

Here are the other nominees:

ARIEL AMMENTORP, UNION: Ammentorp threw a personal best of 115-7 in the discus and won the shot put (35-4) at the Union Jamboree.

DIEGO BEJAR, EVERGREEN BOYS SOCCER: Bejar had six goals and four assists as the Plainsmen posted three victories.

CASEY STRUCKMEIER, COLUMBIA RIVER BASEBALL: Struckmeier pitched four scoreless innings with five strikeouts and went 6 for 10 with three doubles and four RBI in three games for the Rapids.

CODY WHEELER, HOCKINSON: Wheeler threw a 2A state-leading 172-11 in the javelin and won the discus (122-0.5) at the Union Jamboree.

Nominees for next week’s ballot will be posted on Monday, and voting will continue through Wednesday.
