One person injured, family displaced in house fire in Minnehaha

One person was taken to a Portland hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening after an early-morning house fire Monday in Minnehaha.

The Vancouver Fire Department responded at 3:23 a.m. to reports of a fire at 5817 N.E. 39th Court. Crews arrived to find the house on fire, according to a news release.

One person was taken via ambulance to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center, the fire department said.

Four adults, two dogs and three cats were displaced by the fire, according to the news release. The Red Cross responded to help the displaced residents.

Thirty fire personnel, including six engines, two ladder trucks and two battalion chiefs responded.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
