Letter: Bible doesn’t have the answers

Mr. Mattila (“Follow Bible to stop shootings,” Our Reader’s Views, April 16), easy access to the Bible won’t solve America’s shooting problem. Too many so called Bible-believing “Christians” are more passionate about protecting their guns and weapons of war than feeding the hungry, hosting strangers, clothing the poor, healing the sick, caring for the incarcerated (Matthew 25:31-46), or doing “good for them that hate you.” Guns are their real gods. They infringe the “Christian” brand.
