Interstate 5 night work may cause delays in Vancouver

Travelers on Interstate 5 between East Fourth Plain Boulevard and Northeast 139th Street should expect nighttime delays through Aug. 11, as Washington State Department of Transportation crews perform roadway maintenance.

The work will cause closures on lanes and on- and offramps as crews conduct repairs, fill cracks, smooth ruts and ensure a smoother driving surface, extending the useful life of the highway and ramps.

Ramp closures will begin nightly at 9 p.m. and continue until 5 a.m. the following day. Interstate lane closures will begin at 10 p.m., and continue overnight until 5 a.m.

During nighttime paving work, travelers are reminded to slow down through the work zone, watch for road crews, expect delays and use an alternate route.
