Clark County shelter system expands for weather

Council for the Homeless issued a severe weather alert for the emergency shelter system in Clark County for Wednesday through Sunday.

People in need of shelter and housing assistance should call the Council for the Homeless Housing Hotline at 360-695-9677.

If you need to get warm during the day, go to your local FVRLibraries facility or to St. Paul Lutheran Church’s basement at 1309 Franklin St., Vancouver, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

For overnight shelter, Living Hope Church has a walk-in shelter at 2711 N.E. Andresen Road, Vancouver, open from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

If you reside in east Clark County, ReFuel Washougal has a walk-in shelter at the Washougal Community Center, 1681 C St., Washougal, open from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m.
