Jacob Williams of Seton Catholic is The Columbian 2023 Week 6 prep football player of the week

Williams rushed for 199 yards and three touchdowns in a win over Castle Rock

Jacob Williams of Seton Catholic is the The Columbian 2023 Week 6 high school football player of the week.

Williams received 7,767 of the 16,472 votes cast this week to win the honor.

The junior rushed for 199 yards on 27 carries and three touchdowns in a 38-27 win over Castle Rock.

Winners of the athlete-of-the-week may not be nominated again during the regular season, and no athlete may be nominated in consecutive weeks.

Nominees are posted and voting begins each Monday and runs through Wednesday.

Here are the accomplishments of the other Week 6 nominees:

CARTER CAMERON, HOCKINSON: The senior caught three passes for 54 yards and a TD and had three interceptions in a 28-7 win over Columbia River.

BRYLAND FICK, BATTLE GROUND: The sophomore made three field goals — including one from 40 yards out — and two PAT kicks in a 23-0 win over Lakes.

RYAN KAWALEK, LA CENTER: The senior led an offensive line that powered the Wildcats to 301 rushing yards in a 33-19 win over Mount Baker.

GAVIN PACKER, SKYVIEW: The junior caught six passes for 167 yards and three touchdowns in a 56-0 win over Kentwood.
