Prep highlights: Mountain View boys golf sets school record with 5-under team total

The Mountain View boys golf team went lower than it ever had before.

Led by Grady Millar’s 4-under-par 33, the Thunder set a school record Thursday with a team score of 5-under 143 at Tri-Mountain Golf Course in a dual match victory over Prairie. The Falcons had 173.

Mountain View head coach Dan Larson reported that the previous team score record was 1-under.

Also going low for the Thunder were Spencer Moody with a 3-under 34,  and Alex Rigby 2-under 35.

Stars of the day

Jack Kendrick, Noah Larson, Alex Snyder, Columbia River boys golf, all went under par as River beat Hudson’s Bay 146-222 at Heron Lakes Greenback course. Kendrick was medalist with 2-under 34. Larson had 1-under 35, and Snyder was 1-over 37.

Mason Bluestein, Union boys golf, earned medalist honors with a 1-over 37 at Camas Meadows as the Titans edged Skyview 171-174.

Max Calvert and Zachary Nieda, Skyview boys tennis, recovered from losing the first set in a tiebreaker at No. 2 doubles to defeat Shaun Tullis and Brady Winter of Ridgefield 6-7 (2), 6-1, 6-2 in the Storm’s 6-0 victory.

Parker Mairs, Camas girls soccer, had two goals in a 2-1 win over Grant of Portland.

Shaela Bradley, La Center girls soccer, scored three unassisted goals — all in the first half — as the Wildcats beat Woodland, 3-2.

Jacob Parker, Seton Catholic boys golf, shot an even-par 37 at Tri-Mountain to lead the Cougars to a 169-210 win over Kalama.

Sydney Siebert-Wilder, Columbia River slowpitch softball, went 3 for 3 with a home run and two RBI in an 8-4 win over Skyview.

Cheyenne Wagner, Mark Morris slowpitch softball, went 4 for 4 with a double and four RBI in a 23-0 win over Camas.

Sydney Dreves, Columbia River volleyball, had 11 kills, 19 digs, six aces and three blocks in the Rapids’ 3-0 win over Mark Morris.

Adrianne Agbayani, Evergreen girls soccer, had two goals and an assist in a 3-0 win over Black Hills of Tumwater.

Lizzy Andrew, Ridgefield volleyball, had 13 kills, 10 aces, two digs and two blocks as the Spudders swept R.A. Long 3-0.
