Doesn’t get much closer than splitting medalist honors and have a boys golf dual match decided by two strokes.

Hockinson’s Branden Correy and Mark Morris’ Austin Lindquist both shot 39s Tuesday at Mint Valley in Longview to share low score for the 2A Greater St. Helens League match.

But it was the Hawks team that came out on top with a narrow 165-167 victory.

All 12 golfers shot under 50 for the round.

Hockinson’s Grant Gumringer had the next lowest score with a 41.
