Art at the CAVE seeks ‘Politiks’ submissions

Art at the CAVE gallery is accepting submissions for its October exhibit, “Politiks.” Artists are invited to express their political perspectives through art. Each person can submit up to three works for consideration by jury. The entry fee is $15 for one to three pieces or one video, maximum 15 minutes. The deadline to submit art is Sept. 10. The exhibit runs Oct. 4 to Nov. 1, with an opening reception at the gallery on Oct. 4. Art that the jurors determines to be racist, misogynistic or of similar ilk will not be considered. Register and pay at artatthecave.com.

Artist sought to transform The VIC

Artstra is seeking an artist to transform a 20-by-8-foot interior wall in The Vancouver Innovation Center (aka “The VIC”) Commons Building into a visual representation of “The Future of The VIC.” The artwork will illuminate the center’s vision for the campus, capturing the “quintessential east Vancouver destination where culture and the outdoors intersect, where business and leisure seamlessly intermingle and where local communities gather.” Applications from Clark County artists or artist teams are welcome to apply. The deadline to apply is Sept. 12. Find submission guidelines and application forms at
