Rain? Snow? Blistering heat? Who knows? Check out our local weather forecast before you head outside.

Here are some of the top stories on columbian.com this week:

1. 113 acres in the Columbia Business Center sell in record-setting transaction

A 113-acre Vancouver property along the Columbia River in the Columbia Business Center has sold for a record-setting $96 million.

The sale is the largest single transaction by price for industrial land on record in the Portland-Vancouver market, according to real estate group Newmark.

2. Burgerville expands, adding first new location in 8 years

After a record sales year, Burgerville is entering an era of growth.

The Vancouver company has signed a lease for its first new location in eight years.

3. Get ready to look up at Portland International Airport’s reconstructed main terminal

After five years of construction at Portland International Airport, the final piece — the reconstructed main terminal — will open in May.

Gone is the dark and dingy Concourse A, once used for regional flights, and in its place is an extended Concourse B with airy ceilings and ample seating. The Concourse E Extension — serving Southwest Airlines, United Airlines and Air Canada — has opened, and the new transportation plaza and rental car center are open. The projects are a part of the $2 billion PDX Next rebuilding and airport expansion, primarily funded by the airlines.

4. 67-year-old man dead after being struck and then run over by a second vehicle, say Vancouver police

A man was killed Sunday night when he was struck by a vehicle in east Vancouver and then run over by a second vehicle that fled the scene, according to the Vancouver Police Department.

About 6:50 p.m., a 67-year-old man was crossing Fourth Plain Boulevard near the intersection with 137th Street. He was not in a crosswalk, police said.

5. ‘He deserves a funeral’: Demetrius Coles’ burned body was found on a Vancouver sidewalk

Flames engulfed a dead man’s body on the sidewalk at West Ninth and Columbia streets in Vancouver five days before Christmas.

That man was 30-year-old Demetrius Coles. Forty-five homeless people died in 2023. Coles’ death, the final of the year, was the one that captured widespread attention.
