Audition at Love Street Playhouse or submit art to Art at the Cave

Auditions set for ‘Spitfire Grill’ play

Love Street Playhouse, 126 Loves Ave., Woodland, is hosting auditions for the musical, “The Spitfire Grill,” from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Sunday with callbacks at 6 p.m. June 12. Performances are Sept. 6-29. Auditions consist of cold readings from the script. No monologues are necessary. Singers should prepare a minute-long musical theater song with an instrumental track on a phone or tablet and plan to sing in their native accent. No appointment times will be offered. Auditioners should arrive shortly before 6 p.m. to fill out forms. Actors should bring headshots, personal calendars and theater resumes. Artists needed for August exhibit

Art at the Cave, 108 Evergreen Blvd., Vancouver, seeks artists for its August show, “Belonging.” The exhibit is open to anyone who would like to submit art. The gallery is looking for art that demonstrates a sense of belonging or struggles related to belonging. Art should be submitted to the gallery by July 10. A portion of proceeds will benefit YWCA Clark County. To submit art, email a photo of your work or works to gallery@artatthecave.com. Photos should be labeled with the title and dimensions of the work. Artists should include an artist’s statement related to the work and the topic. Each person may submit up to three works for consideration. The application fee for one to three pieces, or one three-minute video, is $15 at artatthecave.com. Artists will be notified by July 19.
