NEW YORK (AP) — Nicole H has won her third straight stakes race, capturing the $150,000 Distaff Handicap at Aqueduct by 212 lengths on a showery afternoon.

The Grade 2 victory Saturday was the richest of the 4-year-old’s career. After tracking the leaders, Nicole H ranged into contention on the turn and drew off at the top of the lane. The winner, ridden by Channing Hill and trained by Mike Hushion, was timed in 1:23.29 over seven furlongs on a fast track.

Wild News held on gamely for second after delaying the start by breaking through the gate. She set the pace after being reloaded.

Nicole H paid $3.90, $2.70 and $2.10 as the 4-5 favorite in the race for fillies and mares. Wild News placed at $7.80 and $5. Kid Kate returned $3.80 to show.
