The new Maplewood Neighborhood Association, formerly the northern half of the Harney Heights Neighborhood Association, has plenty of problems to deal with. In recent weeks there’s been a rash of vandalism, intimidation, gang activity and worse in the neighborhood along East 18th Street.

But right now, heat is the biggest problem. The meeting that was scheduled for today, Aug. 16, at MyPark, has been postponed because of expected temperatures nearing or exceeding 100 degrees.

The Maplewood Neighborhood Association’s general meeting has been rescheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, at the same location: MyPark, 3600 block of East 18th Street.
