About 1,900 electricity customers lost electricity around 8:40 Sunday night after a motorist crashed his vehicle at 192nd Avenue and Brady Road. Most customers had power restored quickly, said Erica Erland with Clark Public Utilities.

The driver, a man in his late 20s, did not seem to be hurt badly, said Capt. Dave James with the Vancouver Fire Department.

“He sheared off a 5-inch diameter tree and three transformer boxes,” James said.

Vancouver police and fire were at the scene.

James said 192nd was blocked for about an hour.

Erland said customers are asked to call 360-992-8000 if they lose electricity.

The man’s name was not available.
