Robbery attempt reported along Fourth Plain

Suspect displayed knife, demanded money

Vancouver police responded to an attempted robbery on Fourth Plain Boulevard just after midnight Wednesday.

The incident occurred near Fourth Plain and Grand Boulevard, in the Rose Village neighborhood.

The victim told police a man wearing a red sweatshirt and black shorts approached him, displayed a pocket knife and demanded money. After the victim refused, the suspect took off on foot.

The victim was not injured.

Police used a dog to try to track the suspect, but he was not located, according to police.
