A Vancouver woman was hospitalized in a crash on state Highway 503 just outside of Vancouver on Friday night, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Keeley M. Canfield, 44, was driving south on the highway near Northwest 66th Street when the car ahead of her stopped for traffic around 7 p.m., according to the State Patrol.

Canfield stuck the rear of the second vehicle, driven by Kristina E. Sadewasser, 39, of Vancouver, totaling Canfield’s car.

Canfield was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center for her injuries. Her status was not available Friday night. Sadewasser was uninjured, the State Patrol said.

The State Patrol said inattention caused the crash, and Canfield was cited for second-degree negligent driving.
