SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y (AP) — It’s Tea Time drew away to a 714-length victory in the $150,000 Lake Placid Stakes for 3-year-old fillies on a sloppy track at Saratoga Race Course on Sunday.

Only three fillies went to the post for the Lake Placid, which was moved from the inner turf course to the main track because of steady rain that began overnight and continued into the afternoon.

The Rusty Arnold-trained It’s Tea Time, ridden by Julien Leparoux, ran 1 1/8 miles in 1:54.53 and paid $3.50. Hatheer finished second. Place and show wagering were suspended.

Three others entries, including morning-line favorite Check the Label, were scratched. The wet conditions and the relocation of three other races slated for the turf resulted in a total of 29 scratches from the 10-race program.

It’s Tea Time’s third win of 2010 was worth $90,000 to owner Alex G. Campbell Jr.
