Special Olympics athletes take the field at Safeco

Evergreen — Twelve Clark County Special Olympic athletes had the opportunity to play a game on Safeco Field during the Mariners pre-game Aug. 14. The CCSO team, the Braves, played a fun game against the Special Olympics Metros. After the game, they watched the Mariners beat the Red Sox. They also watched and cheered the individuals who rapelled off of Rainier Tower in a Special Olympics fundraiser. The athletes who participated were Daniel Baragary, Adam Barr, Jason Baumgartner, Tom Brunner, Michael Cook, Tim Cook, Dennis Dole Jr., Jason Downey, Becky Johnson, Sam McIntyre, Andrew Stekhuizen and Bryanna Zychowicz.
