NEW YORK (AP) — Global Power edged Bernie the Maestro by a head on Thursday to capture the $53,000 allowance feature at Aqueduct.
Cornelio Velasquez was aboard for trainer Chad Brown as the 3-year-old colt won for the second time in eight races. The time was 1:39.47 for the mile.
Global Power paid $8.30, $5.30 and $3.30. Bernie the Maestro returned $13 and $6.70 while Regal Warrior paid $3.50 to show.
