Singlet wins the Big A’s Ruby Rubles Stakes

NEW YORK (AP) — Singlet edged Srumdiddlyumptious by a half-length on Friday in the $73,500 Ruby Rubles Stakes for fillies and mares at Aqueduct.

Cornelio Velasquez rode the 4-year-old trained by Tony Dutrow to her sixth win in 13 starts while improving her record over Aqueduct’s winterized inner track to 3-0-2 in five tries. The time was 1:10.77.

Singlet paid $4.50, $2.60 and $2.10 as the 6-5 favorite. Srumdiddlyumptious returned $2.80 and $2.10 while Promise Me a Cat paid $2.10 to show.
