Interstate 5 northbound is down to a single lane in Salmon Creek until 5 p.m. while crews make emergency pavement repairs.

Crews with the Washington State Department of Transportation have closed the right lane of I-5 from Northeast 129th Street to Northeast 134th Street, according to a news release from WSDOT.

The agency encourages motorists to plan alternate routes.
